Review by hotel critic
As a culinary critic specializing in traditional Austrian cuisine, my recent stay at Radisson was an interesting juxtaposition of luxury and value. The hotel, nestled in the heart of the old town, offered a glimpse into the city's rich heritage. While the room lacked air conditioning, surprisingly, it remained comfortable even during a scorching heatwave. The ambiance exuded Old World charm, yet the upkeep didn't quite meet five-star standards. On the plus side, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, providing a warm welcome and going the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. The complimentary upgrade to a suite with river views was a delightful touch, complete with snacks and champagne. However, the breakfast experience was an eye-opener in terms of cost-effectiveness. Opting for à la carte dining saved us a substantial amount compared to the hotel's pricey breakfast buffet.Radisson offers a fantastic location and attentive staff, but the value proposition may be a deciding factor for budget-conscious travelers.
